Kiwanis Club of Glenview - Northbrook was founded in September of 1965 . The club began with just twenty five members and has grown to its current membership of thirty-six. One of the founding members, Harry Volkman, the former TV weatherman for several Chicago stations, is still an active member of the club. Over the years, the club has held many fundraisers and other events. We help out in the community in a variety of ways, including sponsoring youth groups, raising money to benefit children and children’s support groups, and providing scholarships. The club has enjoyed a rich history over the years, with its members coming from fields like accounting, dentistry, education, law, management, medicine, publishing, and many more.
