OUR MISSION

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

We focus on helping children of Glenview and Northbrook through various fundraising and volunteer activities in support of service projects to provide education, counseling, medical needs, and a safer environment.  Our service projects include:

  • Pizzamania to support scholarships for families at Wesley Child Care Center

  • Reading to children at Wesley Child Care Center in Glenview,

  • Providing volunteer time to various organizations, such as Youth Services.

  • We support leadership development in local high schools (KEY CLUBS) and middle schools (BUILDER'S CLUBS).  See the SPONSORED PROGRAMS page for more information.

  • Gathering food for the Northfield Township food pantry

Our major fundraisers include

  • PRETZEL DAY (formerly Peanut Day) in late September.

  • A RAFFLE  of cash and  gift certificates from local businesses.  See the NEWS page for more information.

We thank all those who contribute their time and money to help underwrite the cost of these events. For raffle sponsors, see the RAFFLE SPONSORS page. We also support the ELIMINATE PROJECT of Kiwanis International and UNICEF, which seeks to eliminate maternal neonatal tetanus in third world countries.  See link at left.

You can help by:

1) JOINING the Glenview Northbrook Kiwanis Club
